Faulty gate

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3681423.

Bridleway gate impossible to negotiate on horseback. Only secured with a chain which takes two hands to open. Impossible to close from horseback and no suitable area to remount

  • This gate has not been repaired and the 24 week deadline has long since passed

  • This gate is now even worse and there is a drainage culvert visible so even negotiating in foot with horse in tow is challenging

  • We are about 45 weeks since this was first reported. It is getting more dangerous by the week.

  • Can you please tell us when this will be repaired? It is 51 weeks since the original report was made. Do we need a horse and rider to be injured trying to use this gate before action is taken?
