Road surface/Pavements breaking up
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:20, Thu 13 June 2013
Sent to Hampshire County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 364878.
To whom it may concern
My complaint applies to Bishops Way, Andover.
Over the 13yrs I have lived here the state of the road has deteriated badly due to adverse weather conditions and in some places poor drainage.
The public footpaths have gone the same way but have had the added disadvantage of numerous tree roots pushing up thro the tarmac.
As TVBC have designated this an official "walkway & cycle route" from Andover Railway Station direct to the Town Centre it is hardly an advert for a thriving Town!
Kindest regards
Mr D Skinner

Hampshire County Council is not interested in the problems of us ordinary folks.
Like MPs they are only there for themselves ...snouts in the trough syndrome eh!

Well, after all these weeks there has been movement. A gang has turned up and patched up 3/4 of the holes in the road. The other 1/4, although they have been "marked," have been left. One has to be thankful for small mercy's, I suppose!
The pavements are still in a "dangerous" state.I am waiting for the first "health & safety" claim against HCC/TVBC
.
Quite happy for you to send all these comments to the relevant bodies.Happy New Year to all
