Gravel spilling from driveway onto pavement, cycle lane and road

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Andrew Roberts at 12:47, Tue 11 June 2013

Sent to Manchester City Council 2 minutes later

394 Wilbraham Road was redeveloped as flats last year. The front garden has been covered in gravel but there is nothing to stop it spilling out onto the pavement. It then works its way out onto the road in large quantities. You can see the problem in the Google streetview images: maps/ OhDW3 Last week a streetsweeper just managed to brush it out of the gutter forming a long line right in the middle of the cycle lane. The gravel is quite large stuff, 15-20mm and quite capable of knocking an unwary cyclist sideways into traffic. It is also large enough to make a small buggy wheel jam when trying to roll over it.
