Tree Preservation order request please for the Copper Beech tree on corner of Grange Road and Limes Road and North St.

Reported via desktop in the Trees in parks, commons, and open spaces category anonymously at 10:39, Fri 1 July 2022

Sent to Runnymede Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3639225.

This mature Copper Beech is a fine example of an increasingly rare tree to be found in this area, it is only one of two such trees in the local area and the only one on public land. We consider this tree to be of particular importance in terms of its size, form, rarity and has a significant presence in its local surroundings. We fear it’s loss would be irreparable and have a wider impact on the environment and as such we kindly request a TPO be awarded to minimise any man made future risk and prevent its demise.

Needless to say it is also a beautiful tree and has a noteworthy presence that is uplifting to the soul and is enjoyed by many people.
