The hedges are so overgrown that it’s not possible to safely use the pavements.

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 12:04, Thu 30 June 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3636495.

It’s really difficult to use the pavement safely because avoiding the vegetation pushes you onto the very edge and traffic passes by close and fast. Especially difficult with a pushchair and a few days ago I had to pull my friend who is deaf back from a close passing vehicle. Shore road has the same problem.

Updates

  • I guess the council are unwilling to ask owners to cut back their hedges. This means that most of the pavement walks near me are difficult with a pushchair and not easy with a dog or company. I see question 4 asks if I would like to receive another questionnaire in 4 weeks time. I would rather my comment was taken seriously.
