Unsuitable signs and HGV’s using unsuitable road

Reported via mobile in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 02:21, Tuesday 28 June 2022

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later

Junction of Hellesdon Mill lane, Hellesdon Hall road and Hellesdon Road. Barrier has been smashed out 3 times in the past six months and again was hit on the 27/6/22 by an unsuitable HGV for the road. The signs stating the bridge is weight restricted needs to be larger and more visible. HGV’s were using Hellesdon Bridge (weight restricted to 3ton) for 4 months from 7pm-7am whilst Sweet Briar road was closed. Extra controls should be put in place to prevent HGV’s getting onto Hellesdon Road causing more accidents. Width restrictions, cameras or speed bumps should be installed to increase the safety of this road.
