Dangerously impeded footpath
Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 10:57, Mon 27 June 2022
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3626026.
Ref:40194513.As previously reported, the house on the corner of Willows Road(No 67) has overhanging trees & bushes/ivy in its garden which obstruct the already narrow footpath, causing pedestrians to duck & forcing them to move to the outside of the pavement & dangerously close to the heavy traffic on this busy road, It's an especial hazard for any partially sighted/visually impaired residents. The person you sent to assess the problem reported there was no issue. He/she cannot have taken the trouble to actually WALK on the section of pavement shown in the photograph as you cannot avoid having to duck under the ivy & move to the pavement edge with the problem further exacerbated each time it rains.. Large lorries & other vehicles also regularly travel above the speed limit on this stretch of road & it's not a safe or pleasant experience for residents who are just trying to walk into Bourne End.
