Overgrown cyclepath/footpath

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 18:23, Sun 26 June 2022

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3624701.

The cycle route between Chichester and Bognor along the A259 is so overgrown with grasses, brambles, nettles and thistles that it is no longer possible to pass another bike or pedestrian without the danger of being forced in to the path of oncoming traffic. In the dark the path is no longer identifiable and brambles and overgrown bushes at eye height have cut my face as they can not be seen. Whilst I was in favour of no mo May to improve the habitat for insects it is nearly July and WSCC has a duty of care to maintain the path for pedestrian and cycle us. The verges have not been cut this year AT ALL.
