Overgrown Trees, grass, weeds etc. Growing onto the footpath.

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 09:15, Thu 23 June 2022

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3617190.

I reported this to a local councilor September 2021. Also Glasgow City Council. Nothing has been done. There is only one Narrow Footpath on this part of the Sprinboig Road. Leading on to Edinburgh Rd. The weeds are growing on to the path I use walking to work. I have to duck down to avoid the hanging branches from the trees. This is a busy road with traffic. This need rectified asap. Please!

Updates

  • How difficult can it be to cut branches and trim overgrown weeds and grass.. The path is unsightly but more so dangerous to pedestrians on the footpath. As I previously mentioned you have to duck down or step almost on the road to avoid the overhanging branches. A disgrace that a main walk way is So Neglected!!!

  • The over hanging tree branches chopped off and dumped where they dropped. The grass & weeds still overgrown on to the path. This will continue to grow on a very narrow footpath unless trimmed back.

  • The grass & weeds are still overgrown. Ridiculous!!! Surely the council must have someone available to trim and tidy this footpath.
