I am writing to highlight an issue on the Brackley Road, Croughton. I understand that WNC Highways own a strip of land fronting houses and bungalows on both sides of the Brackley Road in Croughton (NN13 5PP)
It is the councils responsibility to maintain this strip and I would like to point out that parts of your land have been allowed to become seriously overgrown, particularly in front of no’s 9 and 23. This is forcing pedestrians to walk in the middle of the road, and making the road very dangerous.
Could you possibly arrange to have the bushes cut back to the actual boundary line before there is a severe accident.

I agree this is a difficult area to walk. The laural by the gas substation means you have to walk on the road where there is a blind bend.
Just up from that there is a laurel extending from a driveway over the road. Beside encroaching on the road it must also block the view for anyone driving out of the property.
It is a blind bend for traffic in b oth directions.
A bit further up, by the last house on that side, sycamore shoots cover what probably was part of the grass verge running the length of the road - so again pedestrians have to use the road.

This section of highways verge is still encroached on by home owners at the aforementioned properties. One is visible in your photo, the dark red bush that comes right up to the highway curb and often overhangs still further so pedestrians are forced to walk in the actual middle of the road on a blind bend on the brackley rd wgich is a prime spot for speeding traffic leaving the village. this is so dangerous. Why over a year later has nothing been done?
