Public footpath becoming obstructed with vegetation
Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:30, Thu 16 June 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3601628.
Ref; last report 4/22 ENQ 22921806 about ivy obstruction on fence of a house. House now demolished, deteriorating fence left in situ. Now appears to be three separate obstructions on this path a) Ivy removed on other side of house fence, but the dead ivy remains obstructing the footpath b) Bushes obstructing footpath on the other side of the path. Previously maintained by the trading estate on that side, not now trimmed back. Railings at egress onto Drayton Road now partially covered with vegetation. Tree overhangs railings at low level c) And finally, there is growth of a substantial plant on the footpath, which appears to be rooted at the base of a lamp-post on the path itself.

Thank you for your report. I have trimmed the ivy by the lamp post and the dead ivy will be removed when the fence is replaced. I will also request the removal of the root by the lamp post. The bush on the other side has been cut and I have trimmed the tree a little and will monitor the area.
State changed to: Investigation complete
