Ribbed paving on pavement

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3594284.

Ribbed paving has been put across the pavement. There are 2 problems: 1. It impedes wheels going over it (e.g. roller skates, micro scooters, prams etc.). Normally there is ribbing set across the pavement and then adjacent ribbing in line with the pavement (so that you can roll easily across it), but that has not been done here.

2. The strip of ribbing is far too wide.

The net effect is that it seriously impedes wheels going over the top. On roller skates you do well not to fall on your face. It is vile to skate over.
