Blind turning at allotment entrance

Reported via mobile in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 20:03, Fri 10 June 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council and Hart District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3586955.

I was hit from behind as I was about to turn right into the Hook allotments on the B3349 Reading Road. I ended up on the allotment side of the road and I managed to stop before careering into the trees. The entrance isn't obvious and as it is shortly after the increase in the speed limit from 40mph to 50mph I have worried for years that this type of accident might happen

  • There is no intention to put any safety measures in place. This problem has happened to me several times and to others I have spoken to. In those cases there wasn't an accident only vehicles getting extremely close.
