Dead tree / empty planting pit
Reported via desktop in the Tree Planting Request category anonymously at 17:09, Thu 9 June 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3584343.
The tree outside our house (number 6 Manor Grove) appears to have died.
I think that it is pseudo acacia (locust bean tree) and was in good health and well established last year so it may have been affected by a disease.
Also there is an empty planting pit near the junction with Manor Road after a tree was removed.

Your contractors came yesterday morning and cut down the tree. We were about to go out so it was just by luck that I was able to move my car so that they could do the work. In future please can you give me some notice by telephoning or sending a text.
They left the stump in place and when we came home the parking place was occupied - please see photograph. I will try to block the parking space with my car but obviously I can't keep my car there permanently so it is very important that you try to give me notice of when the contractors are going to come to remove the stump and plant a new tree.
Please can you give me some idea of when the new trees will be planted outside our house and in the empty pit near the junction with Manor Road.
Many thanks

Thank you. Look forward to getting a call from your contractor.
Can you tell me what sort of tree you are going to plant. The previous tree that died was a pseudo acacia (?) with very large sharp thorns on the trunk which were dangerous for people walking past. Would it be possible to plant another type of tree?

Thank you for your update. The species for this location has not been chosen yet, however, it will be a different species from the previous tree.

Your contractor came yesterday and removed the tree stump. It was done very tidily - thank you very much.
Can you let me know if you will need the parking spaces next to the two planting pits to be left free when you come to plant the new trees.
If you can let us know a date we will try to block the spaces with our cars.
Many thanks
