The footpath is completly obstructed by overgroth from one side and knee high vegetation on the adjacent verge.

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 19:23, Tue 7 June 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3579047.

This has been a long standing issue that makes this area difficult and dangerous for people with mobility impairments and others. Before councils approve yet another ill thought out whim, maybe a bit more thought about the consequences.

Updates

  • The overhanging hedgehas been cut back to a barely acceptable level. The adjacent tree now hangs so low it is itself a hazard particularly to the visually impaired. The hedge to the private dwelling next door is as bad as the original issue and has not been touched. Overgrown hedges in private dwellings is becoming a serious issue that needs to be deakt with by the authority. If the council insist on ignoring pavement parking, the remaining pavements need to be kept safe and accesable.
