Explosion of graffiti at Littlemore underpass

Reported via mobile in the Graffiti category anonymously at 14:03, Tue 31 May 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxford City Council less than a minute later

There has been an explosion of graffiti on Littlemore underpass in the last month or so. One side (floral) is fine but the rest of the design (motifs, colours etc) add to the area feeling quite unwelcoming/intimidating.

  • I reported this once before and they dismissed it marking it off as “fixed”.. the floral side is nice but this side and in the ally looks disgusting and makes the area unwelcoming to walk through. I walk here daily with my two children and it’s uncomfortable.. I’ve seen the 2 guys on multiple occasions doing this Graffiti but nothing ever gets sorted..

  • More men (3 of them) are here as we speak 5.46pm spraying the walls.

  • Littlemore underpass now looks decidedly ugly. I'd appreciate it if you could remove all offending imagery. Or, alternatively, please provide the equipment and paint and I'll clean the lot off myself.

  • These are legal graffiti walls - they are meant to be there for people to paint on. There's another at Kennington Roundabout underpass. It's so nice to see such a changing variety of street art, and a place for street artists to express themselves, instead of painting illegally on other walls. And such a change to see what was a drab and dirty underpass taken care of by people who care about it!
