Manhole cover not seated properly and makes noises when run over

It has been over 4 months and the noise from the cars go on through the night. Please can this be fixed? Thank you

  • I have spoken to Thames water and virgin media already and unfortunately, neither of them are the owners......

    …and still, the banging continues. Could the council find out by lifting the manhole?

  • It's coming up to a year now. Please can the council come and inspect the manhole cover and either find out who is responsible or cover it over with tarmac so that it is no longer in use and can no longer make banging noises? Thank you

  • I had a similar problem that lasted 9 months. The manhole was the responsibility of UK Power Networks who would not respond to the councils requests. In the end councillor Suzannah Clarke suggested I report the problem to MP Janet Daby to get the problem resolved. janet.daby.mp@parliament.uk
