Lots of broken steps on footpath

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 17:46, Sun 22 May 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3543052.

The footpath had some concrete steps fronted with railway sleepers put in a few years ago. Quite a few of the sleepers have rotted and are breaking off in chunks, making the steps really uneven in depth and a horrible trip hazard. It is ongoing since the start of the year at least.

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • In addition to the broken steps, now the wooden barrier on the side of the path that shores up the bank of dirt from pouring over the steps has come loose on one side. If this isn't fixed, the path will soon become completely unusable.
