  • This issue is unresolved. The car is apparently SORNd, however it remains on the public road.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Still not fixed as at 11/7/22. Glasgow City Council keep passing the buck to the DVLA, the DVLA keep passing the buck to the Council.

  • Hard to tell from the pin but If it is parked on Birness Dr or the car park then accrording to the council map neither are publicly adopted. The land owner is responsible for removal.

  • Birness Drive and the attached car park is very much on the PUBLIC road and accordingly the responsibility of the local authority to remove. The car may be SORN'd, but if it is still on the public road then by definitely it is NOT off-road.

  • Birness Dr is not publicly adopted.

  • Birness Drive, and the car park adjacent, is public owned (by Glasgow City Council) and is publicly maintained (by Glasgow City Council). The link provided does not dispute this.

  • The Council's register at CHttpHandler.ashx?id=30725&p=0 is unreliable and out-of-date, and has a disclaimer attached. There are many roads listed which no longer exist, or have changed names since adoption by GCC, or are otherwise not listed. Correspondence I have received from GCC (which I am not prepared to publish) confirm Birness Drive and the car park is owned by GCC The car is therefore an untaxed vehicle on public roads which should be removed.

  • This problem remains unresolved. The car now has weeds growing through it.
