Green man taking 90 seconds during school run time

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 09:57, Friday 13 May 2022

Sent to Edinburgh City Council less than a minute later

Pedestrian double crossings at junction of Lindsay Road and Sandpiper Drive. Children and parents are being forced to wait a total of 3 mins to cross this double crossing on Lindsay Road, during which time there is not much traffic. The traffic which does pass is fast and often HGV and PSVs. Having to wait 90 secs on each half of the crossing causes frustration, pedestrians need to go on the road to get past, and children end up crossing on the red man. Please can we change the timing of the 'green man' so that pedestrians have priority for 1-2 hours per day? This would be between 8.30-9am and 3-3.30pm
