Base of trees

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 11:21, Sun 1 May 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3494191.

Branches at base of trees restricting pavement use. One tree instead of reducing roots has just had tarmac poured on top. A wheelchair user would not be able to use pavement. I'm a mobility scooter and has to go to almost a stop because of tilting. A quick fix which is not practical.

  • Nothing has been done it is still difficult to get past all these lower branches on an already large tree.

I had asked for the base of the tree whose roots were just covered with tarmac to be looked at again. I witnessed an elderly woman trying to wheel a gentleman in his wheelchair over this hill in great difficulty as it is so high! I prefer to bounce over the field rather than go along the pavement in my mobility scooter because it is so dangerous.
