Overgrown bridleway

Reported via desktop in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 11:05, Fri 22 April 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3475107.

Bridleway crosses cultivated field, the crop has not been sprayed to clearly define the bridleway as can be seen on the photo. The bridleway, as trodden by passage, follows cultivation tractor marks and has deviated from the designated route. this can clearly be seen when travelling from Arthingworth.

  • The Land owner has still not reinstated the bridleway! the bridleway is impassable, the mature crop of rape covers the bridleway and presents a hazard to dogs or children, the sharp spikes are at their eye level. The landowner has time to mow the headlands, but not it seems to sort out their legal obligations. I am the Arthingworth footpath warden and I would like to see this problem resolved ASAP
