The first part of the Boggs road (from Pencaitland) was resurfaced over a year ago, but this part of the road has never been touched. The surface is appalling and is becoming an issue for cyclists. It's so uneven and pitted that cycling on it is like riding a mechanical digger. Cyclists will have to move into the centre of the road to avoid being jolted off their bikes and it's just not safe. It's particularly bag on the stretch between the sharp corner towards the roundabout from Macmerry and the bend at Penston (what3words https://w3w.co/ tweaked.clicker.sweeping). It's been like this for years now, but more and more people are choosing to cycle and it needs addressed.
