Rubbish dumped and now a hazard on the road

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 13:55, Tue 12 April 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3454863.

Someone has dumped a number of asbestos sheets. This was reported yesterday but now it is more critical as the sheets have now slipped from the grass verge onto the road and is a hazard for drivers especially when meeting oncoming traffic and when it gets dark.

Updates

  • As a parish councillor I received yet another phone call today complaining that a resident almost had a car accident due to this pile of asbestos halfway across the road. I informed them I had reported it on two occasions, therefore any accident will be the responsibility of OXCC. It needs action immediately.

  • Are you actually doing something about this hazard or am I just wasting my time. I have tried to get in touch by phone and from the start despite being told by a recorded message I was in position 1, I waited over 30 mins and gave up. What sort of service do you offer?
