Illegal obstruction parking at night.

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 08:40, Sun 10 April 2022

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3449171.

A business called Panda Lounge has recently started up below us We are the owners of residential apartment block Leylands House 56 Mabgate Leeds. We have complained to the owners of Panda Lounge regarding their customers parking on new pavements, parking the wrong way round on a new one way system, cars cruising around searching to park as close to Panda Lounge entrance as possible, blocking pavements for pedestrians, noise and banging of car doors from 8pm every evening until early morning. Mabgate area has just been regenerated via Leeds City Council who have done an excellent job and have provided dozens of free car parking spaces just 2 minutes away from the Panda Lounge. Their customers prefer not to use this free facility and prefer to park on pavements etc. It's now becoming a nightmare a health hazard.

  • 92 owners at Leylands House & Mabgate House have reported these issues and more, including lack of signings, parking in restricted zones without regular enforcement officer patrols etc. We are in contact with James Chadwick Traffic East however absolutely nothing is being done. The lack of signings and enforcement means that vehicles are parking on pathways and double parked on narrow one way systems leading to possible head on collisions.

  • This council employees are taking money to pay their wages from the public course and fail to resolve issues of concern. Incompetent, Not Fit For Purpose springs to mind.

  • There are strict parking restriction throughout Mabgate however, 92 owners are constantly in touch with Mark Jefferson (enforcement) and very little is being done with few tickets issued. These people, paid via the public purse, are idle, incompetent and not for for purpose and need to be dismissed and replaced with a more competent team.
