Massive hole in pavement continuing spewing water.
Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 15:28, Wed 6 April 2022
Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3441901.
Has been reported and reported (over 18-month period) and Counci/Scottish Water seem unable to take responsibility. Very dangerous when it ices over every winter.

Absolutely no progress since Scottish Water came out, had a look, put cameras down the mains pipe and went away.

Seems impossible to get this remedied. Scottish Water and Glasgow City Council in a face-off, each saying it's the other's responsibility. Sure that will be a comfort when the pavement eventually collapses or someone slips on the omnipresent ice in mid-winter.

Picture if you will GCC and Scottish Water staring at each other and both washing their hands of this. No pun intended.

In early September, the hole was filled in and the pavement smoothed over. But there is still water coming out - though it is at least now going straight into the gutter. So - sort of repaired, though we shall see what it's like in deep winter.

Now Sept 2024 and I'd estimate there have been around a dozen visits by GCC or Scottish Water this year alone. The water STILL coming out on to the pavment, making it dangerous. Scottish Water insist it is 'run-off' water (not sewage) so is a matter for Environmental Health at the City Council. Which is where the buck stops. (Pictures taken summer 2024)
