Dover gridlocked
Sent to Kent County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3434578.
Why are HGVs (Dover port traffic) being diverted through Dover town center? causing gridlock. There is no excuse for this because it has been happening for years every Easter, summer hols, and Christmas. It would be helpful to remove the A256 from Dover town maps and to show these roads as residential roads (because that's what they are). Signs banning HGVs from the town center strategically positioned, illuminated and flashing, controlled by you, would also help. Stop making excuses, lets see some positive action.

Positive action taken since: Operation Brock has been made permanent, and can be upgraded to Brock Zero.
Elections are tomorrow, let's hope Dover is not going to make the same mistake, and vote for a tory brexit again.

Well see the results of that, on the 21st of July. Expect more motoring misery, and even higher fuel prices.
Since this was originally posted, Rees Mogg appeared at Eurotunnel, to make a statement about how increased border checks (taking back control of the borders) would be ''self harm''. With extended customs checks come longer queues. Welcome to the tory brexit, it's too far, it's too late.
