Constant Trail of Litter all way from Witney College to Wooton Road/Bath Street

Reported via desktop in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 20:49, Thursday 31 March 2022

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

There is a constant trail of strewn litter all the way from Abingdon & Witney College down to Stratton Way Town Centre. Especially during term times. Instead of using the 1 or 2 litter bins what appear to be mainly 'hoody'type students chuck it every where. The Council needs to seriously get a grip of this big problem. Fines.Litter Patrols etc. The litter usually seems to consist of what passes for dinner from nearby Tesco & other type shops. Fag ends, some cannabis looking,(ie rolled),some loitering spots have accumulations upwards of 300-400 such fag ends!(Thats a lot of 200 pound finds for throwing one!) Soft Drink cans,(eg 'Monster') Booze containers, Chewing Gum, Cheap Plastic remains of salad tray rubbish with plastic forks, Stuff regularly and repeatedly chucked out the wound down windows of moving vehicles,(all along Wooton Road hedgerows) Sweet wrappers and such other garbage. There are no restaurants along the route probably because no self respecting Michelin chef would want to come & live in Abingdon. Its time this massive disrespect and lack of action was ended! No wonder there is tension between residents and passers through!
