Vehicles illegally parking in junction
Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 13:21, Thu 24 March 2022
Sent to Folkestone and Hythe District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3413067.
These two vehicles have been parking here almost every day since November 2nd 2021. The council and police have both refused to do anything on numerous occasions, despite it being an offense to park in a junction or within 10 meters of a junction.
The van was not taxed for two weeks in January and still on the road. Again this was reported but ignored.
The owner never has any vehicles on their drive so there is no reason for this parking.
This is very dangerous as when I come home from work at night and it is dark it is impossible to see if there are any oncoming vehicles.
I have personally witness two buses collide with the van and several near misses with other motorists all caused by this dangerous parking.

Nothing has been done. The council say to contact the police but the police state that it is the local authority's responsibility to enforce parking. Despite pointing out how dangerous this is to the police they refused to log a further report.
There has been numerous near miss accidents caused by this parking and several collisions wih buses. The van regularly parks the wrong way round in the dark with no lights or reflectors. Again the police refused to record this despite it being illegal.
The van owner rarely has vehicles on his drive way so there is no reason it should be left in the road.

Still nothing has been done. I have chased and chased the council but they are just ignoring the problem and the police do not respond to the reports, they just say it will be looked at later but it never is.
