Reported via iOS in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 11:13, Wed 16 March 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3391024.

Updates

  • Regrettably, there seems to be a misunderstanding as to where this problem footpath is. HCC Roads and Transport responded but they inspected area called Rectory Lane, which is in Itchen Abbas and the footpath I am reporting is on the B3047 before Sewards Bridge, left hand side coming from Winchester, entering Alresford. I did respond to their email dated 24/03/2022 Enquiry 24220113 pointing this error out but to date I have not heard from them. This footpath is used by many people, young and old, people walking their dogs, families with prams and push chairs it's a busy road and the footpath is be coming narrow with overgrown verges. It did appear some months ago someone did 'side up' at intervals to see if the footpath had been wider at sometime, and, yes it was, but nothing has been done. I look forward to your reply
