Lamp that has not been fixed for 5 months

Reported via desktop in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 17:31, Fri 11 March 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3381218.

This street lamp has been out since late last year. Approaching 5 months. Despite reporting it and claims that is has been fixed, it is becoming almost laughable in terms of the 'progress' reports. I have been told that the contractor has fixed the problem and the report has been 'resolved'...Three times now I have had to report it. I can assure you it has not been fixed. The lamp is still out. The cover has now been wrapped in a plastic bag, when what the cover needs is a new steel nut and bolt. We have gone from sticky tape to plastic bags and no light at night still. Nearly 5 months and a cherry picker, 3 visits and 7 workmen to cover the base of the lamp in a plastic bag. Please take a look at the correspondence which shows that someone is actually being negligent in their report. The lamp is NOT fixed.

  • The temperature is about 38 degrees today and we have a rising puddle as you enter Bell Lane in Henley on Thames. It is coming out of a metal drain - I think it must be a leak back tracking as no way have we had rain to cause puddles! You fixed a leak about six weeks ago in the mai s connection in Bell Lane beside my house. 102 Bell St Sandie Harrow
