Potholes on the road
Reported in the Road or pavement defect category anonymously at 11:27, Wed 20 March 2013
Sent to Harrow 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 337383.
The road is in need of road works to fill the potholes and resurface the entire road. Dudley road has become riddled with potholes. I have had a burst tyre in the last month and my neighbour had a similar incident 2 months ago As this road is constant use by cars and heavy vehicles, its repair should be looked into at the earliest. I would request the council to look into this matter at the earliest.

The council started work on fixing potholes, but the work seems to have stopped and just a quarter of the road has been fixed. Could the council please fix potholes on the entire road as the one's reported are still not fixed.

The council has still not repaired the potholes. The potholes seem to be getting worse with rain and heavy vehicle movement.

The problem seems to have worsened. Due to heat and heavy vehicle movement, there have been additional fissures/cracks that have now cropped up which run across the road. I hope the council does not take long to repair these cracks. I reckon had the council acted earlier, these cracks/fissures would not have appeared and the earlier cracks would not have deepened. A stitch in time saves nine, however I think the council has not heard of this adage.

There has been no repair-work undertaken and neither has Harrow Council chosen to respond.

A good opportunity wasted by the council. Let me explain. The council hired sub-contractors to tar and build a small patch on the sidewalk a few days ago. This work was done no less than 7feet away from the area where the big potholes (in the photo) are located. All it would have taken is to pay the subcontractor some more money and get the potholes filled, but I guess sense of planning and taking advantage of the opportunity to get the road repaired does not seem to be important to the council.

It has been more than 1 year and the Council has still not repaired the potholes. What's going on here ? Does the council not know how to repair potholes or is there no money left to do repair work ?
