Extend the double yellow lines

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 16:06, Thu 3 March 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3359745.

In 2018 Double yellow lines were painted on Dirac Road. This reduced the number of motorists parking their cars illegally on pavements, which has improved things.

However, the lines did not go far enough, and stopped just at the point where they're most needed, ie on narrow sections of the road. Problems caused by the double yellow lines not extending far enough : Motorists parking on pinch corners, which has lead to refuse vehicles not being able to be driven through the narrow gap (same would apply for emergency vehicles) Motorists parking their vehicles on the pavement, causing an obstruction and nuisance to pedestrians, and of course, prohibiting pedestrians from being able to safely distance

I've attached very rough illustrations of where the double yellow lines need to be extended to. Please note: The yellow line I've drawn is approximately where the double yellow lines are now. The pink lines are where they need to be extended to, to prevent the issues mentioned above.

Please take this improvement in to consideration so that these anti-social problems are prevented.
