Cycle lane covered in many sharp stones

The cyclelanes are covered in many road chippings. It was swept and is better for a while but is again covered in sharp stones. This makes it uncomfortable and best avoided to prevent punctures. The lanes need sweeping again. The entire road probably needs sweeping to prevent ghe stones simply flicking back on to the cycle lanes. The lanes do need frequent and regular sweeping it appears. With the current level of sharp chippings laid on them they are less than desirable and many cyclists will choose not to ride in the cyclelane but on the main carriageway.
