Some of many potholes.

Reported via desktop in the Potholes category by Ian Retson at 12:20, Tue 1 March 2022

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3353113.

The whole of Willesley Lane from Ashby and parts of Ashby Road Donisthorpe has a lot of very poor surface which is especially dangerous to cyclists (Hicks Lodge Cycle centre is nearby). Since the road has been dug up many times over the last few years to install gas mains it is in very poor condition from contractors vehicles especially. It all needs properly resurfacing not these quick-fix patches which are not even caulked. This has been done in the past and only lasts a very short time.

Updates

  • There is a section of approximately 15-20m in length which has a very uneven surface, multiple pot holes and bumps etc. When driving over this section the car is often jarrred off course and it can be particialy difficult to keep control especially in wet weather.
