Post in Portchester alley way presents danger to mobility scooter users

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 17:39, Sat 26 February 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3346520.

There is an alleyway between Clive Grove and the pathway to Portchester Community Centre + Westlands Medical Centre. At the end on a sharp corner is a post with a sharp projection. This post presents a danger to mobility scooter users as they have to be really careful they don't have their wing mirror knocked off. Many elderly residents have asked for this post to be removed as well. Please could this be removed as it serves no purpose (i.e. the gap is still wide enough for a motorbike to easily get through)?

Updates

  • Hampshire County have refused to remove the bollard as, in their words, it doesn't pose a danger. Hopefully F.B.C. care about elderly mobility scooter users, because clearly H.C.C. do not!
