Car Parking

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 16:47, Fri 25 February 2022

Sent to Leicester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3344524.

There is a car parking issue at school opening and closing times, cars are parked in extremely dangerous places on the central reservation, across driveways, on zig zag lines and places where cars turn on to the opposite carriage way, this makes it very dangerous. please could these issues be investigated before someone gets hurt ?

  • Parking on the central reservation has been eliminated now, well done. However cars are parked on zig zag lines still and in the centre pull in to turn right going out of town, this is an accident waiting to happen and needs to be resolved before an accident happens ?

  • It appears that the council are waiting until someone is seriously injured before this issue is addressed ! The cars park on zig zag lines on the central reservation, dangerously I might add. Please, could this be addressed ASAP, before someone is very seriously injured. Why can’t traffic wardens attend at the start and end of the school day to observe the mayhem that is caused by irresponsible drivers collecting their children from school ? Please Leicester City Council don’t wait for an accident to happen before you act ?

  • Leicester City Council have not addressed this extremely dangerous issue, after several complaints have been made over many months. I can only assume that they are waiting for a fatal accident to happen before they address this issue. It could well be to late then.

  • The issue has not been resolved, the council obviously think the safety of people is not a priority. Cars park on zig zag lines, double yellow lines and in places that are dangerous.

  • This is a very serious issue and will result in someone getting hurt if this is not addressed. Could a member of the council or an employee attend the site at the start and the end of the school day to see the problem. The parking is extremely dangerous.
