Now due to much reduced arm length on the top of the columns since the fitting of LED lanterns and this one now due to new column replacement with post top entry lamp ....the lamp is now completely enveloped in tree vegetation and very little light from it gets to light the pavement and road at night.

This lamp is still not on and is completely surrounded by tree vegetation that may well be catching on the lamp thus rendering it faulty! Also : Again I refer back to my comment above ....: “Rather than all this bother of trimming tree branches/ sending out notices to property owners etc ....why can’t the exception be made for these particular columns where an arm is put on top of column that reaches out beyond the tree / vegetation cover with a side entry lantern rather than post top”. Until a few years ago ALL of the columns along Bromley Road and other streets in Bromley had 1-2 metre length bracket arms on them regardless of tree vegetation. When the LED lamps were fitted LBB took it upon themselves to cut the arms to practically nothing or as in the case of this column in question put a post top entry lamp on thus in some cases putting the lamps amongst tree vegetation! Just because of a change in lighting policy ....why do homeowners suddenly have to start receiving orders to cut back trees especially high up branches? Surely LBB should make exceptions and put on bracketed arms in these instances ?!
