Illegal vehicle used for advertising

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 14:12, Thu 10 February 2022

Sent to South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3303172.

J&A Driveways are back doing what they do best - illegal advertising on public realm. They have left a large billboard trailer on the grass verge of the Heyford Hill roundabout. It is also dangerous as it is distracting at a busy junction. The Council need to fine these cowboys heavily as they have no incentive to stop doing this.

  • Still there! This driveway company has used the highway for substantial free advertising for a whole week, compromising road safety. Really not acceptable and asking the County and Police for urgent action. We can't have businesses depositing advertising on the roadside willy nilly without consequences.

  • This very large advertising board is on a very busy junction and is obscuring driver vision as well as the trailer tow bar extending out into the cycle lane, this is going to cause an accident. This same bill board (on a large trailer) was also placed on the Botley Road a few weeks ago and we causing an obstruction in that area too. The owners of this company live in Kidlington, Filchampstead, Garsington, Barton, Groby,

  • This same very large advertising board, on a very large trailer has now been left on the road between Kingston Bagpuise and Millets Farm, again obstructing driver vision on a country road. Why is the local authority not simply removing this so that it can no longer be moved around Oxford/Oxfordshire to facilitate rogue contractors.
