Cars parked on Coventry Road

For the last couple of months a number of cars and vans have been parked on the road and part way on the grass verge on the Coventry Road, just by the cricket ground. I know they are not parked on double yellows and also not parked illegally, however, at times the quantity of vehicles makes it very difficult to travel along this stretch of the road, causes congestion and also a hazard with oncoming vehicles. It is also churning up the grass verge area as well.

I assume it is people not wanting to pay parking charges in the car parks. If the owners could park in the free car park at the recreation ground and walk a little bit further this would solve the problem.
