Slippery substance on junction of Collet and Hawksworth

This morning my bike slipped on a patch of something like diesel or hydraulic fluid and I was injured. The accident occurred on the carriageway, near the centre of the T-junction as I was turning right from Collet into Hawksworth. The junction is on National Cycle Route 5 and cyclists (and motorcyclists) use it often. Please can the carriageway be cleaned urgently.
