Road marking badly faded - vehicles overshooting junction

Reported via desktop in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 13:28, Tue 25 January 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3265954.

I am reporting the poor state of the road markings where Silchester Road enters the Bramley Road. The normally very well marked yield markings on the road surface are worn away. As a result vehicles turning left or right into the Bramley Road from Silchester Road are encroaching into oncoming traffic. I have dashcam evidence of two very near misses where cars have entered directly into my path of travel, on one occasion forcing me to take evasive action by driving onto the verge at 40mph and most recently a full emergency stop after vehicle Reg KO56EBC inexplicably made a wide right turn towards me with the prospect of a head on collision. I have seen other near misses at this junction recently as it is a route I drive at least four times a day.
