Dangerous slippy paths

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 18:37, Wed 12 January 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3236242.

All paths in Dumbleton Close are covered in moss. This is extremely slippy and like sheet ice. One resident has already slipped over on it. It is particularly bad on the right hand side coming into Dumbleton Close and on the bend by the turning area. The only alternative is to walk in the road which is also dangerous!

Updates

  • HCC finally agreed to sort the problem but still waiting for it to happen. Pathway is still slippy and therefore dangerous.

  • This issue still persists despite HCC saying they would fix it. Beware the pavement is extremely dangerous in wet weather.

  • It appears that HCC don't take this risk of slipping seriously as they still have not rectified the matter!!

  • Still not sorted. Unable to get any response from Hampshire Highways on why it has not been done. Continues to be a slipping hazard, particularly when wet.
