Sent to North Kesteven District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3215275.
Today (Sunday 2/1/22 I was out walking beside the river slea. At the junction of the drove lane the old railway bridge is gated. This gate has been smeared with a thick layer of grease, possibly deter people from climbing over. Grease is also on the public side. Whilst there today , looking through to the old cranwell line I got covered in the stuff from the gate. It’s all over my jacket, jeans and in my hair !! This is completely unacceptable on a well used public footpath. My clothes are ruined and it is still in my hair after repeated washing. Please look into this and speak to the landowner with a view to removing it. it’s dangerous, stinking and just downright disgusting. I will also add , the popular game of geocache hunting ( there is one one the gate) will result in many more people with ruined clothes when they look on and around the gate. I have attached pictures and I look forward to a reply
