Wroxham River Bridge

Reported via desktop anonymously at 18:13, Wed 15 December 2021

Sent to Broadland District Council and Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3182509.

The road markings viz. the double white lines along the centre of the road surface of the bridge, have virtually disappeared, having been effaced by the heavy use of the bridge by traffic that has increased in volume markedly during the last two years as more holiday traffic, unfamiliar with the bridge has been coming to and/or passing through Wroxham and Hoveton as a result of more people taking holidays at home. because of the pandemic. The absence of clear road markings is a a particular danger to traffic using this narrow humpback bridge, particularly when used by vehicles unfamiliar with the bridge that need to rely on clearly defined road markings. the problem was first evident over two years ago when I first raised this issue locally to no avail. Promises were made but nothing as been done. I think it is time for a technical review by the road authority to take place, and for action to happen asap.
