  • This pile of pallets belong to no 44 and have been there each year for the last 50 years of residence without complaint, if your from Woodstock there are far more issues to worry about, and when you leave an anonymous comment it really isn’t worthy of recognition, if you have a problem with this my door is open, be more concerned with the houses likely to be built and the problems that will cause the whole community

  • I do apologise my report was not meant to antagonise anybody and it seems to have clearly angered you by the nature of the response. Other events in Woodstock have nothing to do with it and in fact it was consideration for the residents like yourself who live next to this that was the main factor in me reporting it in the first place. My seemingly false assumption was that this area was part of the agricultural field but presumably then this is your land that you own?

  • 50 years?! Do you not think if every resident of woodstock dumped such large piles of waste in the surrounding fields, footpaths etc for that long the "problems that will cause the whole community" would far far far far far far far exceed that of the houses that are likely to be built?

  • I thought I had replied to this, did you not see the graffiti literally 2 ft to left of your photo, is that not more of a concern to our community? A temporary car park that now is permanent in the same field, is that not worthy of your comments? The potential for 280 houses In the same field, is that not worthy of your comments as your so concerned how Woodstock might look, come around and I will give you a history lesson, don’t hide behind a keyboard, I feel you have an agenda and I see you have posted elsewhere, maybe you to get a life

  • This really has perplexed me, and the fact that you you don’t even claim your complaint, makes it’s worse, we are staring down a barrel of potentially 280 houses, with two exits as is the law, one the Banbury Road, the other Green Lane, Owen Mumfords is demolishing some of there ground next year to move to Witney, with some remaining for office’s? Green Lane, no path, upper Brook hill, very narrow top of Hensington Road, one way, Sundays on Brook Hill one. At at a time, same on Green Lane, yet all your worried about without even asking is a bonfire, your concerns are mis guided unless you have an agenda. Get real, you irrelevant person, keep up with what matters, you have a voice but misguided, you have a lot to say, save Woodstock, no parking, no shops, inadequate roads, schools, doctors, that’s the battle, a small historic town, not built for masses, protect this town, that’s the battle, when they build that’s it, it’s there, everyone has had their pay, their fix, but the town and people that built this town will be victims of greed and not of respect that every person in this town deserves, if they build here that just confirms it’s about money and not about making Woodstock a better place, if a genuine plan is put forward for this field I would support it for housing for those that need it, but you can’t put 500 cars onto green Lane and say that’s a good idea, moan about that, if your that concerned

  • Ps in all those years no one has ever dumped anything else in this field so that argument doesn’t even stack up, as I said, without any adverse effect, it’s been there, the farmer ploughs around it, ordinarily it’s cut back back but we’ve limited that because of Covid, it’s lit every spring when it’s frosty, the smoke goes straight up, of course sometimes it cuts across, my daughters and I reflect on times gone, I hope they will when I’m gone, I’m sure they will they love it, my dad used to grow veg there, we bought our land from Blenheim, Chris Hutton, we had a gate there, but I’ve fenced it off now, my family used to shoot with Jamie’s Blandfords Grandfather, not his dad, but what a privalage, we have been here and helped this towns development, employment, and you approach and try and vilifie me over a bonfire and miss everything else, shame on you who ever you are, that’s the battle, , not agendas, Woodstock
