Parking within 10 metres of Junction

Reported via mobile in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 11:07, Fri 3 December 2021

Sent to Fareham Borough Council and Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3156270.

Vehicles …mostly white cans Park both side of the junction of Upper Brook Drive and Cellandine Avenue. Parking is usually within 10 metres if the junction making leaving Cellandine Avenue very dangerous, you have to move forward so far to ensure junction is clear of traffic on Upper Brook Drive that fast moving traffic would be unable to avoid a collision.

  • Waste of time reporting to the local council. The response is that they do not have 'facilities/ manpower/ jurisdiction to enforce restrictions and then refer you to the police. The Police .....well when was the last time you saw a police officer carrying out any routine traffic enforcement, again no manpower and probably too stretched to be bothered. Someone has to die before interest from anyone is shown.
