I head someone inspecting this yesterday but by the time I went out they were gone. It has not been fixed. The base of my gable end wall and my garden wall(2 Newland OX28 3JD) meets the pavement at a bus stop here. All along the base of the wall, the pavement is badly eroded so that soil/dirt gathers there, weeds grow, and thy catch all the rubbish dropped at the bus stop. I do kill the weeds and sweep the rubbish, but the pavement needs filling. Please help. The first and weeds need clearing and the pavement filling in. For clarity this is where the walls (house and garden) meet the pavement, not where the pavement meets the curb. This also means it will cause damage to my wall(s) if the erosion continues. Many thanks, Triona

  • Sorry but guess you'll have to reconcile yourself to this being an ongoing problem ? You've only got to walk up Newland, West End, etc etc and see this is a frequent "verge" problem - along with the unmaintained state of the Newland south-side pavement, the bus shelter, ... the West End and Langel footbridges and much more besides throughout Witney. But instead we've got the wonderful new £100,000+ Active Travel Route that's persuaded so many to give up their cars - not ...
