Overgrown bushes, untidiness, litter

Reported via mobile in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 11:07, Wed 24 November 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

The council land outside my property is very overgrown, which is impacting the path and also the look of the street. As well at this it is full of rubbish and dog mess where people have thought it’s okay to dump rubbish due to the untidiness. As well as this the trees are blocking sunlight to my house, creating a lot of mess and damp slippery patches from water and rotting leaves. The branches are touching telephone and internet lines. It would be beneficial if the whole area was removed and replaced with turf like elsewhere in the street and the trees removed or heavily felled.

  • Thank you for your report. We have arranged for the vegetation which is encroaching over the footway outside number 29 to be cut, this will be completed within 28 days. No dog mess or rubbish seen whilst inspecting, for issues regarding these matters, please report them directly to Cherwell district Council, this can be done via fix my street or online or by telephone. The trees in this location are quite small and do not appear to be interfering with telephone lines. please report any concerns you may have regarding the trees in the category of trees, where a member of the tree team will be able to clarify if these trees are ours to maintain and inspect any concerns you may have.Regards
