Tree root close to the surface is pushing up slabs.

The tree root is pushing up the slabs, and the surrounding edges of the tree's base. Just needs the tree root dug up, please DO NOT remove the tree itself.

  • This isn't private parking space is it ? if it was, then up to the owner/user ... The second pic shows the tree leaning ? If so, is this levering the roots upwards ? and cutting them would give less anchorage and more chance of collapse ?

    No, it’s not a private space, I have checked with the land registry.

    The tree is straight, it’s just the angle of the trunk in the photo.

  • You may get quicker action if you email highwayenquiries@oxfordshire.gov.uk

    They will certainly tell you if they are responsible for the land and if not who is.
